I am a wife and mother of 5 busy teenagers, ages 14-18. I am very interested in genealogy although I am not able to research as often as would like. When I was young we lived close to an abandoned family graveyard which I chose to mow for several years. My father graciously took the time to weed-eat it once-in-awhile and I would pick wildflowers to put on the gravestone's frequently. I spent a lot of time at the local library researching the names I found and began to feel very connected to their stories even though there was no familial relationship. I believe this is where my journey through my own genealogy began. As an adopted child it took many years to find what family to research but I now know I came from a line of "Bruce" that lived in the Jellico, TN area for many years. As a busy mother I am not able to take gravestone pictures on a daily basis but am very happy to take requests that are close to my area. I hope your journey back in time is full of interesting information and only good surprises...although we can't all be related to kings and queens.
