Bio

I discovered Find a Grave while doing research on ANCESTRY for my own family and others'. I appreciated finding info when available but it wasn't until made a memorial page for my infant son that the power of having a photo taken for me when i lived so far away really hit me. It caused healing tears and tremendous satisfaction- -now I could "visit" him whenever I wanted.

That experience impacted me so profoundly that I have become a volunteer. I live in the Appalachian Mountains and traveling isn't easy for me as I am disabled and wheelchair bound. I take far more photos than requested in caseworker will want it someday. This is my way if giving back. I'm a retired grief therapist so I know the tremendous importance of seeing a loved one's grave.
