My family paternal surnames include; Marx, Kukuk, Heintz, & Schaefer. My family maternal surnames include; Gilbert, Swift, Torrance, & Merchant. Other ancestral names include; Schindeldecker, Zengerli, Martini, Klein, Miller, Anderson, Glazier, Green, Bassett, Hitchcock, Utter & Stannard.

The majority of our Gilbert Family records were compiled by Rev. H. S. Sidener, W. G. Ireland, Gilbert Strunk and Alberta Dennison in 1938. Alberta Dennison(1908-2002) updated the records to include those who served in WWII. The most recent comprehensive update, May 1983 was produced through the wonderful efforts of my cousin Bonnie Marie Gilbert Ayling. Bonnie passed away in September 1990.
