I have been fascinated with genealogy since I was a teenager. I have passed on my love of history to my children. We love as a family to walk old cemeteries & see all the stories the stones tell.

My family is primarily from German/Prussia/Bavarian descent & came to the United States in the early to mid 1800's. My husband's family is mostly Swedish & English. His 4th great grandfather on his mother's side was the famous Revolutionary War hero Commodore Joshua Barney. Much of his mother's lineage can be traced back to 1600's in early America.

I was born, raised & live in Central Iowa.
