My husband (Mike Evans) and I are from Indiana. I was born in Anderson, graduated from Alexandria High School in 1959 and went to Ball State where I met Mike.He is from Muncie. We were married in 1961 and have two children. I got my Degree and taught 3 years in Delaware County schools. My father was a Pittenger - Grandparents Elmer and Mazie McAbee Pittenger; Grandparents - Joseph H.and Caroline Shafer Pittenger. My mother was a Holt- her parents John and Mae Bayley Holt, Grandparents Samuel and Maria Holt. We moved to California in 1970 but we both still have family in Delaware County. I am very interested in our families ancestry. Most of my family came to Delaware county in the mid 1800's and many are buried in the Union Chapel Cemetery in DeSoto. I am pleased to find this site and hope it will provide additional information and assist in my research.
