Bio

My paternal JESSER and JANTZ ancestors left Germany in 1833 to go to Russia in response to the request of Catherine the Great for farmers to develop southern Russia (now Ukraine). From Russia, they came to the USA at the turn of the century and settled in OK and later CO. My maternal PHILLIPS ancestors trekked from RI to PA to OH to KS and MICHAEL ancestors moved from IN to IA to CO. I've researched ancestral trees so that I have over 7,000 names entered in FTM with some German branches back to the 1400s. I love the unending search for answers to clues, especially when they fit the puzzle.
