Bio

My name is Claire Celeste Walsh Johnson. My aunt researched family history for over 50 years. She did this before Ancestry.com or Find a Grave and had many boxes of records. She was very thorough and would not record any facts that she had not personaly confirmed. She freely shared her information.

I recently began building my family tree using information she and my mother gave me as well as what other knowledgeable researchers have shared. Elreeta Weathers and Ruth Sheppard have been very helpful.

My line includes Miller, Walsh, Taliaferro, Stribling, Blue, Sims, Plaster, Kirkland, Cosper, Sheppard, Holland, and Howard.

I love the research even for those not in my line, the struggles of these pioneers from Virgina, to N/S Carolina to Georgia to Alabams to Texas and others to New Mexico, Oregon and California is inspiring. My family in W TX is mostly in Shep Cemetary and surrounding areas. Their first stop in East Texas Reilly Springs is just a few miles from our lake house today.

I really appreciate the contributors that put so much time into Find a Grave.
