I am an American History graduate student from Illinois who is a lifelong genealogist. I enjoy spending time in cemeteries, because they afford an opportunity for quiet reflection and time alone. Additionally, I love the history that is found in cemeteries, especially when they are cemeteries that have my family members buried in them. My family are some of the founding members of Cass, Schuyler and Fulton Counties in Illinois, and cemeteries in these areas are where I like to go get some time to myself, and to do research!
