VULTURES! This is what this site has become full of. People playing an effing numbers game! Subscribing to funeral home websites to be emailed new obituaries and trying to be the one that gets another number added to their count. I'm completely disgusted!

When a family can not even finish making their loved ones funeral arrangements before someone has added the memorial, that is disrespectful. It's happened with my sister, my uncle, my best friend, and now my granddaughter. BY THE TIME WE LEFT THE FUNERAL HOME, WENT TO THE MONUMENT PLACE TO PICK A HEADSTONE, AND BACK HOME, HER OBITUARY WAS ALREADY ON HERE!

I know, "Find A Grave takes no position on the appropriate timing of submitting such indexes."

Maybe they damn well should. People have family that are members of this site and would like to add their loved one's memorial. But they have to make arrangements, grieve, and process.

People that are adding memorial as soon as the funeral homes are posting obituaries, stop and think, is it going to hurt to wait, be respectful, give the family some time? There are tons of cemeteries that are incomplete, boost you numbers by going out and helping finish listing the older stuff, and after a month or so if the memorial hasn't been created, create it. Have a heart.

I know none of this is actually going to mean anything to anybody, but I hope.

This was suppose to be a good site, good intentions, but it no longer is.
Just disgusted and grieving
