I find it hard to write about myself. My maiden name is Clara Elizabeth Johansmann, daughter of Edward Johansmann and Berniece Minnie Bowen. Her father was Ralph Edward Bowen, who married Lizzie Jenkins (buried in Collier cemetery) and his parents were Willliam Bowen and Callie Wright. They also had Uriah Bowen who was killed by lightning when 19 years old. William Bowen was killed in a mining accident and then Callie married Henry Shoemaker. Callie lost Frona Shoemaker who caught on fire putting wood in the stove. Only the 2 other boys were left and 2 step children. I am a descendant of Isaiah Bowen Jr. and his first wife. I could go on and on but I am most likely related to most people buried in the Bowen Cemetery and plan to be buried there myself. My plot is bought and I am making my plans.
