I have been interested in Family History all of my life and doing genealogy since the 1980s.

My mother did not like it that her mother dragged her to the cemetery to visit, so, she never took me to see where my relatives were buried. I love walking cemeteries and am drawn to them wherever I travel. Odd as it sounds, I am generally drawn to those of my surname, no matter where they lie. On more than one occasion, I have found graves I seek by simply asking, "Okay, where are you?". I am either drawn immediately to where they are, or detoured to a Boyd, say hello and ask if they can point me in the right direction. Then I turn and walk to the spot I was seeking to begin with. It does not happen every time, but it happens quite frequently. Whenn I successfully
used this method to locate my husband's dead infant brother , my husband dubbed me, just wife "The Grave Whisperer."
