Bio

I am a USAF Veteran who has been doing historical research in the areas of Burlington, Proctorville and Ironton, Ohio for 20+ years. For the past 15 years my primary focus has been the Underground Railroad in the previously mentioned areas.

I have provided research for the PBS series Finding Your Roots (John Legend segment) and in 2011 helped close the longest active Fugitive Slave/ Freedom Trial in US history. It resulted in the Polley family (John Legends ancestors) receiving a retroactive ruling of freedom. The case had been open 162 years.
