My fathers name was James F. Bachus and his father was from Belgium, he came to the states through Ellis Island. They settled in Michigan.

My mothers name was Nona J. Rice from the Kansas City, Missouri area. She has many brothers and sisters in that area that I have lost touch with, and I know many more family through them.

My parents married in 1974 and lived in Texas. I was born in 1975 and lived in Abilene, TX until moving to Indiana in 2005.

I now live in Terre Haute, Indiana with my husband Greg Slaton who grew up in the Lubbock, Texas area.
