I grew up in Minnesota. I spent almost 11 years in the Navy then returned to Minnesota. After 17 years there, I left the state for work in 1998 and moved to Long Beach, Boston, West Virginia and Smyrna, GA. I promised my wife I'd "put her back when where I found her," so in 2014 we moved to Scarborough, Maine.

I began genealogy as a hobby years ago (probably in the 1970s after the Roots mini-series). My primary research areas include Brown & Montran, Roberts & Barnes, Darling & Huber, and Howell & Hobbs research areas.
