I was born and raised in Montgomery County, NC.Have since moved to Randolph County,NC.I have always been interested in my family and enjoyed the stories of the past.Two things in my life pushed me to delve deeper into my roots.First, I received a Bible as a gift from a family member unexpectedly.It has a copyright date of 1756 and holds the names of my ancestors. Now if I can only connect the dots. It seems that I am descended from James Banks Caddell thru one of his children. He was the progenitor of this large family that started in Moore (Cumberland) County. I shall keep searching! Second, I lost my only son in 2001 and my research came to be a way of escape. My only daughter and husband help some in this search.
I came upon findagrave one day when I searched my son's name and became instantly addicted. JFreeman did a beautiful job with his memorial.
I hope that I can make someone who has lost their someone special feel as good as I did when I found his name and picture memorialized forever in such a beautiful way.
