Bio

My name is Cheryl (Seiss) Louie. I live in Southern California. My immigrant ancestors settled in Maryland/Pennsylvania in the 1750s on my Dad's side. They are mainly of German descent from what is today France and Switzerland with one line of Scotch-Irish from Ireland. Key surnames include Seiss/Suss, Saylor, Heagey, Scott, Kerr, Agnew, Cobean, Hankey, Apple, and Eigenbrod.

My Mom's grandfather (my great-grandfather) came from the Nam Long Village of Cha In in Zhongshan City, Guangdong, China and lived in Kailua, Hawaii in the 1890s. He returned to China in 1898, but in 1913 his son my grandfather, who had been born in Kailua, returned to Hawaii and settled in Honolulu. Key surnames are Chun and Sin/Soon. I have information on other Chuns from Cha In who settled in Honolulu County and my Mother was always told they were "cousins" or "uncles." I would like to learn more about their exact relationships to my family.
