Bio

I was born and raised in Eastern Oregon. I married and we are raising four wonderful children (two boys & two girls) in the town I grew up in. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with the family, reading, working on family history, fishing, hiking, home improvement projects, working out, playing sports, and doing just about anything outdoors.

I have just gotten into genealogy over the past couple years and found it very exciting. I took my first official genealogy trip in November of 2011, visiting Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. We also visited several Civil War sites, some of which our ancestors served at. Most of my genealogy research thus far has been on my father's side, which includes the following surnames in my direct line; Daniel, Forkner, Gill, and Dale. On my mother's side my direct lines identified so far are Floether, Laib, Stoller, Singer, all four of German origin.
