I have been doing genealogy for about 40 years. My greatest accomplishment was finding the documents needed to qualify my mother for DAR and UDC. I have been married for 50+ years, have 3 children who married well, and we have 6 grandchildren. I am a native Georgian, and now live in the county where my dad was born in 1912. The graves of many of my paternal ancestors (back 6 generations) are within 20 miles of my home. And many of my maternal ancestors are not much further. How fortunate is that? I aspire to keep up with the new descendants on both sides of the family. My goal is to write the stories that accompany the statistics.
