Bio

I've largely moved onto other interests, and I'm not really checking this account. Please contact me by email.

- Please let me know if you have a connection to someone for whom I manage a memorial, so I can transfer the memorial to you. I don't like managing memorials for strangers.
- Everything here is accurate to the best of my knowledge, but please do double-check things.
- Consider my headstone photos public domain.
- I've changed my name and moved around the country a couple of times so don't be thrown off by that.

Here is a really sweet message I got from someone on Reddit after explaining what Find A Grave is:

Thank you for doing what you do. I've known of this website and never thought much of it.

My grandfather died a couple of years ago. There was no service (my abusive mother 'handled' everything) and I just haven't been able to bring myself to visit his grave. He was interred next to my grandmother who died in 1988.

I went on Find A Grave and saw that a page was started for him by a member like you--someone whose profile shows they start and maintain a lot of these for people they don't know as a sort of hobby. Another person with a similar profile had submitted a photo. Another, whose profile also showed they were a major contributor to the site, left a message for him to rest in peace.

I live locally but I can't bring myself to visit. I am really touched that several people updated that page in some way. It's wonderful that you all are taking the time to do something like this.

Site guidelines for reference:
- If the surname is unknown, it should be listed as Unknown, NOT left blank.
- No pre-need memorials from 1931 or later.
- Do not add additional photos of the same thing unless your photo is vastly better in quality.
