Bio

I am in Santa Rosa, California.

My mother's family is the Corrick family out of West Virginia where the Battle of Corrick's Ford was fought in 1861. My mom's mother's family comes from the Hungarian Jewish community of northern Chicago.

My father's family comes out of the Hamburg, Germany area (grandfather) and the Munich, Germany area (grandmother). They came to the US between WW I and WW II.

Names of interest include
Corrick,
Von der Porten,
Sohnle,
Rosenbaum,
Rusnak,
Wolfskill,
Cox,
Beasley,
Marteney.

I am quite interested in the Santa Rosa Odd Fellows Cemetery including the mausoleum. I am working on getting all people in the mausoleum into Find-A-Grave. (This can be visited, but you have to ask for a key or help -- not as easy as borrowing a key for the other mausoleums at Santa Rosa Memorial Park.)
Here's the link to the virtual cemetery:

I have also organized and led walking tours of the SR Odd Fellows Lawn and Lot Cemeteries. Of course, we can only highlight a few stories, but there are millions of stories behind those stones.

When I add photos, I often include one area view so people can get an idea where the grave is located. And, I love to get GPS added in!

Big thanks to those who have helped me with photo requests --across the USA and even to Europe.

I am also active with the Sonoma County Historical Society and the Drake Navigators Guild.

Feel free to contact me about anything of interest.
