And of course endless road trips to county courthouses on precious vacation days, to spend hours in basement archives rooms scouring probate records. Many of you will remember this, too. Our daughter tells her friends she cannot remember a trip with her mom when she was a girl, that didn't involve traipsing through another cemetery. :-)

Currently researching my husband's extensive lines throughout colonial New England, Philadelphia and the pre-Civil War US South, especially Virginia. As well as my own lines from Württemberg and Prussia, who emigrated to the Philadelphia area in the late 19th century.
