I was born in Houston, Texas at St. Joseph's Hospital on August 20, 1942 to James Frank Rhodes of Pert Tx. & Myrtle McNutt Rhodes of Brenham, Tx.Attended Lamar Elementary, Horace Mann Junior High School, and graduated from Robert E. Lee in Baytown. While in H.S. I chaired a committee that won a Key Club International Award for building a playground for underprivileged kids. Received the Sandy Nininger Award for that. Graduated the University of Texas in Austin. Graduate Degree at North Texas State University. Began cattle ranching in 1966 in Pert, Tx Anderson Co. Taught school in Houston, Denton, and Tyler. Teacher of the Year @ Hogg Middle School 2007 Was an Elementary Principal in Tyler for 15 years. Retired to full time cattle ranching in Pert Tx. Volunteer for C.A.S.A.Son ~ John Thomas Rhodes of College Station Tx. ~ Three sons Marcus Alan Rhodes; Jaren Thomas Rhodes; Max Wilder Rhodes. Daughter Emily Elizabeth Rhodes ~ Husband Brett Shell Blankner ~ One son Kai Blankner.
