In my 30's I volunteered with local community theaters; in my 40's I became an EMT and a Firefighter but burned out in my 50's. My professional life became very demanding with travel throughout my state during my 50's and 60's. I finally retired, traveled a bit, and after my mother death, I began to renovate my home. As I was purging the many boxes of 'stuff' of my late mother, I found notes about and letters from some of her cousins regarding other family members, some names I never heard of, others briefly mentioned by older family. Curiosity got the best of me and since my mid- 60's and now my 70's, genealogy is my passion.
