J Weldon Soape & Patsy Ozelle Massey were my parents. I am the second of four daughters born to them between 1949 and 1957. Growing up, I was very close to my great uncle, Theodore C Massey and my aunt, Ada Jane Soape Hicks, both whom were like surrogate parents.

I started my research primarily as a past time to be productive. However, I became addicted.
