Bio

Native of Graniteville, SC and have been visiting the Graniteville Cemetery since I was a child. I have spent many Sundays at the Summer House and going with my grandfather to check rabbit boxes that he had set out in the woods around the cemetery. I am currently Secretary/Treasurer of the Graniteville Cemetery Association and spend most of my mornings and evenings in the cemetery helping visitors find their relatives. I love to talk to visitors and learn all about their families that are buried there. I am also president of the Horse Creek Historical Society. We have adopted the cemetery as our main project. We have gotten a historical marker for the cemetery. We are proud to say that we have researched and have found 104 Confederate soldier's buried there. The historical society keeps a Confederate flag on each veteran's grave in honor of their sacrifice.
