Bio

None of my ancestors are buried in California, where I live. My husband and I are retired and live full time in a large motor home coach. When we are not traveling, we have a permanent site in Morgan Hill, CA south of San Jose and the Bay Area. I am happy to try to find and photograph grave sites in nearby Gilroy.

My hobby is genealogy and I maintain the Barlow Family Tree on Ancestry.com and I research mostly English, Irish, Scotch and German family names. Most emigrated in the early 19th C. and settled all along the east coast from Pennsylvania to Maryland and and Virginia and then into Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama. Many were western settlers who migrated across the Appalachians to settle in the Kansas and Oklahoma plains.

My entire list is getting long and it keeps me busy. I research the family names of: Adamson, Alexander, Barlow. Barton, Beard, Boozer, Brightwell, Butz / Butts / Butt / Pott, Campbell, Dungan, Farquharson, Fergerson, French, Gibson, Griffen, Grimm, Hendon, Hirton, Holtzapfel, Jackson, Jenkins, Keeton, Kincheloe, Kinnick, Lashley, Lobach, MacIntosh, McPherson, Meekin, Moray, Nabors / Neighbors, Phillips, Poore, Rice, Ross, Ruppert, Schleutener / Slutrener / Slutener, Schultz, Small, Smith, Stewart, Suggs, Thompson, Walker, Watson, Williams, and Wronsky / Wroncy.
