Bio

I have been researching genealogy since 1999. I am grateful to family who, in the 1970's and 1980's, did amazing research on the Juip, Rumph, Van Overbeke and Gietzen families. Those families, with deep roots in southeast Michigan, sprawl to include many other local family names, including Rinke, Schoenherr, De Grandchamp, Delmotte, Boos, Buhr, Halmich, Wolf, Dufflo, and Warner. Those early genealogy researches formed the basis of my family tree.

Genealogy remains a passion for me and I am fascinated by the wealth of historic information that becomes available electronically. These facts help to form a picture of life for our ancestors, making them more than just names and dates.
