I am finally getting around to doing the research on both sides of our families for our children. I envision incorporating the stories I had heard from my parents, aunts and uncles and other relatives and family friends, into the history of our families.

My largest surprise was to discover on my wife's side her grandmother was a direct descendant from Robert Barnard who had settled Nantucket, MA in about 1659+/-...my wife and her brother had no idea at all.

I have slowed down a bit on the project...and could use a pro-bono genealogist to help in sorting the info out and also going back a little further here and there.

Living in Lancaster County is an asset for many reasons...namely it is rich in history,a crossroads for many going out west and it has a lot of small graveyards for research.

Best to all who are researching their ancestry.
