I am extremely interested in my family history and have been involved for at least twenty-five years. My husband is involved in his family history as well. We made/make frequent trips to historical societies, libraries, cemeteries, etc., tracing our "roots". If possible, we help friends with their quests as well. We both have some "real to life" stories we have found that keeps us spell bound. We have been told we "go too far" in our searches but, we want to know about everyone which affected our lives and where we are today. We love to find pictures of our family members which help to really "know" these individuals. Both of my parents were great historians of their families and always spoke of their ancestors with pride. I know that some people feel that after a hundred years, etc., we are no longer related to the ones that have been here and gone before us --- I do not feel this way --- I have their blood flowing in my veins.
