Thank you for your inquiry. The Barnhart Family that I know originally came from Germany in the late 1700's by way of the Carolina's, then to Indiana and finally settling in Neosho County, Kansas around 1865. The name as many others was changed from Barnhardt, to Barnhart at some point. We still have Barnhardt's in the area. My cousin has done extensive research back to our arrival here in the USA but that is where our family tree knowledge stops at this point. Other names of interest include my mother who is a Dell, grandmothers Myer & Bower. Step grandfather by name of Pinkley.
