Bio

I am a retired (10 years) college history teacher living in Union MO. I grew up in Kansas City the son of Irvin (Jerry) and Grace Campbell Melton and went to college at CMSU and MU. My wife Karen Hatcher Melton grew up in Union but her father and mother Raymond and Wanda Hutchins Hatcher were from Carthage MO.

Karen and I have one son John and six grandchildren living just a "spit and a slobber" away here in Franklin County.

I no longer drive due to advancing Parkinson's but stay active volunteering at our local hospital's free clinic as a Pharmacy Technician and at East Central College in the summer theater program where I help design and build sets for the musical productions. I keep up with our household grounds and have a small garden and pet rabbits. In cold weather and on rainy days I build paper building models and work on our family's rich genealogy.
