Bio

At the time of this writing I am in my middle fifties. The passing of my mother re-ignited my interest in answering photo requests for the two Willow Springs Cemeteries located near Liberty, KY. The older cemetery was abandoned after March of 1878 when a huge tornado destroyed the existing church and took many lives and ruined property. A new church was then built about a quarter mile up the road and a new cemetery started. I live in Elizabethtown, KY and can sometimes respond to photo requests for cemeteries nearby. I am only visiting Willow Springs on behalf of my mother to finish the interment of her ashes there. It has been a way for me to get in touch with my past. I have learned that many of the people I meet in everyday life have last names that are familiar to me from walking through the Willow Springs cemeteries and I am keen to consider that the people I meet could be distant relatives.
