Interested in genealogy of my family history several years ago to try to reconnect with my mom and some of her extended family. I have always loved history and it has been fun to research and find members of my extended family who have been involved with making history.

My father's side is Sorek & Przywara and my mother's side is Walter (maiden) and Batsford. All of my father's grandparents immigrated to the US (Detroit) from Poland around the turn of the 20th Century. My mother's family settled a suburb on the north side of Detroit (Clarkston), many settled in the Catskills of New York and some date back to the Massachusetts Bay Colony.

My mom's mother died in 1950 when my mom was only 5 and her dad died in 1960 when my mom was 15. My maternal grandmothers appear to both have Danish or Icelandic ties. My mom's maternal grandmother was Jennie Isman from Minneapolis and I've struggled to find much evidence of her family because some records show she was born in Iceland. My mom's paternal grandmother was Christine Kaad from Milwaukee and again, I've struggled quite a bit finding some of her family as well.

When I married my wife in 2009, I began to add her very large family. Her family names are Brown and Reno on her father's side and Tarry and Thomas on her mother's side. Most of her family are from the Elyria and/or Toledo Ohio area.
