I began doing genealogy prior to the computer age, when everything was done with lots of 'legwork'.... over the years I began helping others and more recently have helped create a 'Historic House History' for a family member who had restored the house over a period of 40 years and was preparing to move to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Well... their new 'old' house is even more historic and I'm now researching that one. It is a part of genealogy I had never thought of before and I'm loving it. I also volunteer as an archivist for our local museum, catalogued our churches old cemetery and am getting ready to do a small family one that is in the middle of a cow field! Hopefully I will be uploading that information in the next month or so.
History and research is what I'm doing in retirement, and findagrave.com has been so amazing......especially since I come from the days of traveling to distant cemeteries and searching for the grave sites!
