I love cemeteries. My love for them began at a very early age. One of my first memories is walking to the cemetery in our small town with my mother to tend my brother's grave who died when he was 3 months old. She always took along a rake, hoe, or shovel as there was no perpetual care. She kept the weeds off from it and always had a flower on it. Later she planted grass and hauled water to it. She was so excited when the water was piped there and when they planted grass.

As other family passed on she looked after their graves as well. It wasn't till I lost a baby myself that I came to fully understand her caring and grief.

I so appreciate the people who take the time to go through cemeteries and put the information they can find and take photos to add with names to this site.

Everyone has a story and I hope to be able to share some of those.
