I got hooked into family history a few years back, I am not an avid researcher but I do love finding information about past relatives. When my mom was alive I would call and tell her what I had come across that day and if I didn't call she would call me wanting to know...hehehe. I am researching the names of Theriot, Legendre, Tabor, Simoneaux, Dugas, Hannon, Trosclair and Boudreaux on my mom's side. These would mainly be in the Assumption, Ascension, Lafourche Parish areas. My dad's side of the family would be Watts(strong Indian line), Black, Clayton, Kyzar, Lambert(Indian descent) my dad said his grandma "Pinkie" (Geneva Rosalee Lambert) was Indian, Also Efferson and Reid. These are all mainly Livingston Parish area.
