My love for my family's genealogy started when Thomas Beil spoke at one of our Beil family reunions. He had traced his Beil line back to ours and had contacted my father and a cousin for information. Over the months he had corresponded with my father, verifying facts, etc. My father invited him to our reunion. Mr. Beil visited our reunions several more times over the years informing us of any updates to the family genealogy, especially after his trip to Germany. Because of Thomas Beil, I have spent many happy hours walking local graveyards, pen, pad and camera in hand, getting information on our family. Thousands of happy hours on the Internet, LDS Site, Ancestry.com, Rootsweb, etc. searching for any glimmer of the Beil/Beyl/Boyle names. Met several new "cousins" who graciously shared their information and have become good friends. Thru all this I have gained, not only a wonderful picture of my family's life in America and Germany, but a love of American History and a great respect for the courage and perseverance of our ancestors.
