Bio
I am the daughter, a neice, and a cousin to several genealogists in my Avery and Goodwin lines. My three brothers and I are privileged to have inherited a substantial family archive that includes a genealogy library as well as letters, diaries, and other artifacts passed down by many generations on both or paternal and maternal lines. We call the combined collection "The Avery and Goodwin Family Archives,", and host a website "The Avery and Goodwin Family Pages" through Ancestry's Rootsweb. Our paternal line descends from Connecticut's Christopher and James Avery, as in the 1912 2-volume publication, "The Groton Avery Clan" available online. My known Goodwin ancestry is considerably more limited, although some biographies appear in print as well. I am very grateful to all who contribute to Find-A-Grave, for the opportunity to add to the extensive genealogical research done by various family members. I occasionally leave a memorial flower or brief note, when moved emotionally to do so; I would welcome any inquiry regarding my genealogical relationship to the person on the site.
