Bio

Hi, I am more or less the family historian and resident genealogist for our family. I am not a professional but a fairly decent amateur genealogist.

Most of our family tree involves colonial New England lines such as LEFFINGWELL, HAWLEY, LOCKE, EDDY, WHITNEY, PARMELEE, DAVIS, DEAN, ALDEN, TODD, LYMAN, FLEMING, and many more.

We have some Canadian lines too and plenty of immigrant ancestors who came to New York City both earlier in its history and more recently.

I just discovered this site and fell in love immediately! I will input as much info as I can in hopes to be of service to others.

I make periodic trips to the state vital records in Hartford and the state history library down the street in an effort to find source documents and continue expanding my family tree.

I am putting together a family history website which I've linked to here. It is still in the early stages but there are plenty of great old photos to look at and a few of the lines have some info down already. So please come to visit.

I live near the St Lawrence cemetery in New Haven and there are several others in the area that I visit regularly.
