His father John William Patterson born between 1845-1850 in either Marshall Co., Alabama or Tennessee. John William Patterson was married to Mary Jane Williams. I believe my Patterson's, before Marshall Co., Alabama, were in either Lincoln or Sevier Co., Tennessee. I have always been told that we are Irish and Cherokee Indian. I believe John William Patterson's father was John Patterson, wife Nancy ?. He was born in Tennessee and had sisters Chilnessa Patterson Edmonds, and Priscilla Patterson LaFarlett.
