I have been doing genealogy for over 50 years, when I had time. Back then we started on paper and wrote letters to get information from family. I grew up in SW Iowa when my elderly ancestors were still alive and I was curious enough to talk to them at that time and ask a lot of questions. Early in my life, I moved to Colorado, married and have lived there since. I still do research almost everyday or I am reading about the history of our ancestors. Today I teach genealogy in Colorado and Arizona where we winter. Teaching inspires me to do even more research so I can keep the classes/workshops interesting and exciting.
