Bio

My name is Rianne and I have been doing family history research since 2000. I joined findagrave while searching for relatives and found that many of my family could not be found or they had no headstone photo, it was then that I decided that I would start adding memorials. I started at cemeteries that contained my relatives, then I branched out to include cemeteries that were in my area. I try to photograph every headstone when I go to a cemetery, if I have the time, and I use those photos to transcribe. I do not add memorials from obituaries or any other documentation. Sometimes more information will be included than what is on the headstone and in those cases the information likely came from a family history book of some sort. I enjoy taking volunteer photos, but only do so if I am in the area anyway. I do not suggest edits unless I have verified my information first with sources and I do not accept edits until I have done a quick check to verify the information to be true. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact me. This is all about working together! Please don't be one of those people that is so possessive over their memorials that you won't accept edits, this just hurts the family of the deceased. This isn't a competition to see who can have the most memorials either, it is a way for people to pay respect to the dead (their family) from afar.
