My family comes from Rulo, Richardson Co., Nebraska. My extended family is quite large. So I have a huge interest in the site.

My pet peeve are F.A.G. contributors who do not respond to requests. They seem to have time to build thousands of memorials with no real respect for the intent of a memorial. They consider a memorial "THEIRS". They are collecting lots of names, rushing to funeral home web sites and newspapers to build "THEIR" memorials.

I do not consider this some kind of a game. I have had several encounters with kooks. It will make you wonder if your efforts are appreciated.

If they are not any kind of family you might wait a week or two before creating a memorial after a person has passed. Give a family member a chance to make the memorial.

When many of these non-family members create a memorial they WILL NOT transfer it. I'm sure they have fond memories of creating a memorial for a person they never knew.
