My interest in genealogy started with cemeteries when I was a teenager. I would visit with my mother and grandmother and always be curious about the people who were honored there. Later my father caught the genealogy bug and discovered where his great grandparents came from in Ireland from their tombstone. I have been intently researching my family now for 18 years, have volunteered my services helping others with their research and doing lectures and workshops on genealogy topics since 2009. Cemeteries remain one of my strongest interests. Any photographs of individuals I have uploaded come from my personal collection of "instant relatives" found at antique shops and flea markets over the years. Find-a-Grave is the perfect place to share them with a wide audience. A new hobby I have as of 2021 is purchasing mass cards from estate sales when I can find them.
