His grandparents were James Loyd Coleman and Eva Lena(Hammond)Coleman his great grandparents were James Edward and Carrie Erskine Coleman. His great great grandfather was Henry Monroe or Henrich Kohlman from Saxony, Germany married to Mary Louisa Daugherty Coleman originally from Kentucky. Henrich came to America around 1840 or so and ended up in Texas. He was a pony express rider and a Texas Ranger(documented).
