I was born in Orangeburg County, South Carolina but currently live in California.

On my mom's side of the family is the Easterlings from near Bowman and the Austins from the Four Holes area outside Orangeburg near Cameron. The Kinards and Carters from Colleton/Bamberg County are on my dad's side of the family.

Currently, I am doing research on my grandfather Martin Henry Carter who is a descendant of Jesse Carter and his son Stephen E. Carter of Colleton County, South Carolina.

My quest is to find information about my Carter ancestors and record it in a book for my Carter family but while doing so I would like to share my findings with others.
