His 2Great grand parents Solomon Overmyer and Mary (Obermoyer) Overmyer were buried in the then new cemetery in 1903 and 1896. His Great grand parents Jacob and Sarah Overmyer, David and Barbara Ellen (Overmyer) Miller, Grand parents Newton C and Mary Rozella Overmyer, Parents Corneal and Lucille (Magsig) Overmyer, 1st wife Carole Marie (Snow) Overmyer and infant daughter Karen Marie Overmyer are all buried in the Lindsey cemetery. He can trace his ancestry back to 2 of John's sons - John Michael and Phillip. He has lived in Lindsey for 55 yrs and retired from Brush Wellman Elmore, Ohio after 39 1/2 yrs. He is on the Lindsey Cemetery Board and is in charge of the cemetery lawn care since 2009.
The Lindsey Cemetery Board disbanded in 2015 and the Cemetery Maintenance was turned over to the Washington Township Trustees.
