Bio

I'm a writer. Years ago I started to write a family memory book as my family was dying out. I came to realize that even conversations I overheard as a child have provided clues to my research. Over the years I gradually became a genealogist, using books, archives, museums, microfilms, databases, and all else to achieve my research goals. As the internet grew I honed my research skills to include databases and public information. I've taught genealogy on the Internet for Genealogy at my local public library, focusing on special interest areas, such as Central and Eastern Europe or Native American and African American, and have helped many people break through blocks in their personal research.

I research in a linear way but allow for intuitions, leaps of faith, synchronicities, and help from unexpected sources - including Ancestors.
