I was born 14 Mar 1947 in Huntsville, Alabama.

I am continuing the 20 year genealogy research project my mother started.

My lineage is, father Alva Blanton Smith, Jr., Grandfather Alva Blanton Smith, Sr., Great Grandfather Robert James Smith, Great, Great Grandfather William Henry (Quirl) Smith, Great, Great, Great Grandfather Solomon Smith who we believe came from Franklin Tennessee.

The Smith family I'm researching lived in Madison County Alabama, around New Market, Paint Rock, Owens Crossroads, Gurley, New Hope and all parts in between. I'm also researching the Robertson lineage from the same area.

In addition my research includes the Greene lineage which consist of Cruthirds, Cowan, Drew, French, Hays, Lipscomb, Scarborough, Sharpe, Swann and Webb. These lines are all related to the Greene family line. These lineages were out of North and South Carolina, Geogia and settled mostly in Mississippi and Louisiana.
