I have always been interested in geneology and have been researching my family tree. Cemeteries have always intrigued me. One huge reason for my curiosity for cemeteries is that when I was a child my mom would frequently take my brothers and I on a drive to find cemeteries and walk through them. Might sound wierd but my grandmother did the same thing with my mom and aunts when they were very young. My grandfather worked for a company that made vaults so my only guess would be that this might be part of the reason for my grandmothers fascination. When I am at a cemetery and I look at headstones I like to ponder what kind of life that person may have lived. I was very excited to find some of my family here on Find a Grave. Find a Grave is a wonderful site, especially for people who cannot physically visit their family or loved ones who have passed away. When I have time I love to accept photo requests because I find it very fulfilling and satisfying to help others.
